I am delighted to present the Study Overseas web portal.
Thousands of Australian students travel overseas each year as part of their tertiary studies. Universities, and a growing number of Registered Training Organisations, are increasingly providing more opportunities for their students to study overseas. Studying overseas provides Australian students an opportunity to complement their Australian studies through participating in relevant academic or practical programs in another country.
Studying overseas also provides young people with an advantage in the workforce, enhancing employability skills and contributing to the development of international networks. In recent surveys Australian employers reported that an overseas study experience is becoming more important for multinational companies, laying the building blocks for understanding business protocols in other cultures.
As the world becomes more connected, through common concerns, shared goals and technological advances, studying overseas as part of an Australian program of study is a great way to join and contribute to global communities and conversations.
